Pilot Release · v0.2.0

Give your EMR superpowers.

Synapse transfers SOAP notes from Notation to your EMR in seconds. No copy-paste. No double-entry.

What's in This Release

Version v0.2.0 — Pilot Staging

  • Full SOAP note transfer: Notation → Synapse → EMR
  • Deterministic field mapping for Kinnser / AnyEMR
  • Side panel UI with transfer setup, preview, and execution
  • Session list with patient grouping and visit type hierarchy
  • Context lock with patient identity redaction
  • Windows installer signed with Azure Trusted Signing

How It Works

Three simple steps to automate your SOAP note transfers.

Install the Chrome Extension

Add the Synapse extension to Chrome. It provides the side panel interface for managing transfers.

Download the Synapse Helper

Install the Synapse desktop helper. It runs privately on your computer and handles secure data transfer.

Transfer Notes Automatically

Open your EMR and Notation side by side. Synapse maps and transfers SOAP fields with a single click.

Built for Physical Therapy

Synapse is purpose-built for PT clinicians who use Notation and EMR systems daily.

One-Click Transfers

Select a note in Notation, click transfer, and Synapse populates your EMR fields automatically. No more manual copy-paste across screens.

Private by Design

Your patient data never leaves your computer. Synapse processes everything locally with no cloud intermediary for clinical content.

Deterministic Accuracy

Smart field mapping uses deterministic rules first, not guesswork. Every transfer is predictable and verifiable before submission.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps to get Synapse running on your computer.

  1. Download the installer

Click the download button above to get the latest installer.

  2. Open the installer

Double-click the downloaded .pkg file. macOS may show a security warning because this app is from an identified developer outside the App Store.

If blocked by Gatekeeper: Open System SettingsPrivacy & Security → scroll down and click "Open Anyway" next to the Synapse message.
  3. Follow the installer prompts

The installer will place the Synapse helper in the correct location and configure it to work with Chrome.

  4. Verify the installation

    Open Terminal and run:

    synapsed health

You should see a status message confirming the helper is running.

Note: You only need to do this once. The Synapse helper starts automatically when you open Chrome.
